Hell 4

Last week we read that hell is inside the earth.  When Christ died he descended inside the earth to hell.  There he
proclaimed to the lost souls.

Another place inside the earth is the Abyss.  The Abyss is a subterranean home for demonic angels.
This is also where Satan will be thrown for a thousand years (what many Christians call the millennium).  We are
close but haven’t yet reached this time in history.

Revelations 9:11  Their king is the angel (Satan) from the bottomless pit;  his name in Hebrew is Abaddon,
and in Greek, the Destroyer.

Revelations 17:8  The beast you saw was once alive but isn’t now.  And yet he will soon come up out of the
bottomless pit and go to eternal destruction.

Revelations 20:3  The angel threw him (Satan) into the bottomless pit (Abyss), which he then shut and
locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished.

I believe that hell and the Abyss are located inside the earth and are filled with extreme heat, tor-
meant and agony where the fire never goes out.

Hell is so bad that in Luke 16:27, the rich man wanted to warn his brothers of this place.  ‘Then I beg you, father,
send Lazarus to my father’s house, for I have five brothers.  Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to
this place of torment.’

Luke 16:31  He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if
someone rises from the dead.’

Next week, we will be reading more in-depth about Jesus descending into hell.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

The previous two weeks we’ve established that Satan and the rebellious angels were not hurled to the earth until
shortly after Jesus birth.

I’m aware that Satan roamed the earth in the Old Testament as the following scriptures suggest.

Genesis 3:1-4  Satan tempted Eve and caused her to fall.

Job 1:6  One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with
them.  The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”  From roaming through the earth and going
back and forth in it.”

Job 1:12  God allowed Satan to tempt Job on the earth.

These scriptures show us that Satan roamed the earth but still had access to speak with God in
heaven.  Satan was not permanently hurled to the earth until just after the birth of Jesus.

Also, no where in the Old Testament is demon possession mentioned.  The rebellious angels along
with Satan were not hurled to the earth until just after the birth of Jesus.

Again, the “sons of God” in Genesis 6:1-2 could not be rebellious angels or demons.

Next week we will sum up what we’ve learned before discovering who were the “sons of God.”

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Let’s continue reading Revelation 12.

Revelation 12:10  Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:  Now have come the salvation and the power and
the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ.

Revelation 12:12  Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!  But woe to the earth and the
sea because the devil has gone down to you!  He is filled with fury because he knows his time is short.

Revelation 12:13  When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman (Israel/Mary) who had given birth to the male child (Jesus).

These scriptures tell us that Satan was not hurled to the earth until shortly after the birth of Jesus.

From Revelation 12:7-9 (last weeks study) we know that Satan and the rebellious angels were hurled to the earth
at the same time.  Therefore, the rebellious angels or demons were not on the earth during Genesis nor
anytime in the Old Testament.

Again, the “sons of God” in Genesis 6:1-2 could not be rebellious angels or demons.

Next week we will read that Satan tempted people but he was not permanently hurled to the earth until shortly
after the birth of Jesus.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Let’s read a third reason that the “sons of God” from Genesis 6:1-2 cannot be rebellious angels.  Rebellious
angels or demons were not on the earth in Genesis nor any time during the Old Testament.

Revelation 12:2  … she became pregnant and cried out in pain as she (Israel/Mary) was about to give birth.

Revelation 12:5  She (Israel/Mary) gave birth to a son, a male child (Jesus) who will rule with an iron scepter.

She refers to the nation of Israel and specifically the virgin Mary.  The iron scepter is not a sword but a long rod
that is symbolic of authority.

Revelations 12:6  The woman (Mary) fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God where she
might be taken care of for 1260 days (3.5 years).

This verse confirms Mathew 2:13  When they (3 wise men) had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in
a dream.  “Get up” he said, “Take the child (Jesus) and his mother (Mary) and escape to Egypt (desert).
Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.

The above scriptures show us that Revelations 12 takes place at the time of Jesus birth and shortly
after.

Revelations 12:7-9  And there was a war in heaven.  Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (Satan), and
the dragon and his angels fought back.  But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.  The
great dragon was hurled down- the ancient serpent- called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole
world astray.  He was hurled to the earth, AND HIS ANGELS WITH HIM.

So far, we have established that Revelation 12 takes place during the time of Jesus birth.  It was soon
after his birth that Satan and his rebellious angels (demons) were hurled to the earth.  The rebellious
angels were not on the earth during Genesis nor anytime during the Old Testament.

Next week, more Revelation 12 scriptures that confirm this point.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
