In the last two blogs of Revelation, I would like to study the following scripture.

Revelation 22:1-2 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life.

This scripture is similar to the following scripture.

John 4:13-14 Jesus replied, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give you will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

The river of the water of life is referring to the Holy Spirit. The river of water of life / Holy Spirit will fill you so full of his presence that your cup will overflow with peace, joy and love.

Revelation 22:1 also states the river of the water of life is flowing. The Holy Spirit is flowing, moving, refreshing, giving life and love even in the new Jerusalem and new earth.

Next week, what is the Tree of Life mentioned in the second part of Revelation 22:2.

Thank you so much for studying. God bless.

CONCLUSION:  The human soul and spirit is some kind of energy or essence with no physical form that we know
of.  This energy is some how embedded with a person’s brain.  This energy is invisible to the human eye.

The human soul and spirit is the eternal component of a person that is fashioned in the image of God and can
exist apart from the physical body.

Based on scripture, the soul is the emotional nature of a person.  The inmost being of a person that feels
distress, anxiety, grief, joy, hope, love and praise.

The soul or emotional part of a person can effect the physical body.  For example, if a person looses a loved one
and becomes very sad, chest pains may occur.

In reverse, the physical body can effect the soul.  For example, a handsome or beautiful person may be emotion-
ally confident.  A person who looses a limb may become depressed.

Based on scripture, the spirit is that part of a person that can communicate with the Holy Spirit.

Our spirit knowing the Holy Spirit brings joy, peace, love, and other good character traits to a persons life.  Also,
our spirit knowing the Holy Spirit brings wisdom.  The Holy Spirit can teach and testify to a believer.  The
Holy Spirit is the ultimate source of comfort to a persons soul.

Most importantly, our spirit knowing the Holy Spirit bring salvation or eternal life to a believer.  Literally,
the Holly Spirit dwells within the believer covering their sinfulness and unrighteous with his righteousness and
holiness.  This allows the believer to enter heaven after this life.

This week, the most important reason our spirit should communicate with the Holy Spirit.

Galations 6:8  … from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

John 1:12  Yet to all who received him, to those who believe in his name, he gave the right to become child-
ren of God.

John 3:5  Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of
water and of the Spirit.

I think you can see where the scriptures are pointing.  Our spirit knowing the Holy Spirit brings eternal life with
God in his heavenly kingdom.  Let’s read more scriptures.

Ephesians 1:13-14  Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit who is a
deposit guaranteeing our inheritance.

2 Corinthians 1:22  He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a de-
posit, guaranteeing what is to come.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  … from the beginning God choose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of
the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

Your spirit knowing the Holy Spirit guarantees your salvation or eternal life in heaven with God.  As
believers, the Holy Spirit literally dwells within you.  The person that receives and communicates with the
Holy Spirit receives the righteousness of the Holy Spirit.  Your sinfulness, your unrighteousness is covered by his
righteousness.  You have received your inheritance into heaven.

Next week we will conclude our study on the human soul and spirit.

Thank you so much for studying.  God bless.

colorful sunset

In Holy Spirit 3, we read that the Holy Spirit literally dwells within the believers body and testifies with our spirit.
We briefly mentioned that the Holy Spirit was essential for salvation; to be made as white as snow and to live in
heaven forever.

Let’s read more versus.

John 3:3  In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born
again (born of a new Spirit).”

John 3:5  “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the
Spirit.”

Galations 6:8  from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Ephesians 1:3  Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal,  the promised Holy Spirit, who is
a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession- to the
praise of his glory.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  … from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of
the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

The person that receives the Holy Spirit receives the righteousness of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit covers
that person’s sinful soul.  He covers their unrighteousness with his righteousness.  At this point, God can look
upon a person and see them as white as snow or as pure as snow.  God, by his very nature, requires pureness
or sinlessness.  At this point a person has received their inheritance of salvation and can enter heaven.

Salvation is not by any good works that you have done but by the Holy Spirit living in you.

Thank you so much for studying.  God bless.

fantastic rays

Welcome.  Some people believe that sleep refers to the soul being in a state of unconsciousness or nothingness
after the body dies.  I have found no scriptural evidence supporting this idea.

Sleep does NOT refer to the soul being in a state of unconsciousness or nothingness after the body
dies!  To confirm this point, let’s refer to our study titled “Point of Salvation” to the left of this page.

Galations 6:8  … from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Ephesians 4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God with whom you are sealed for the day of re-
demption.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  … from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the
Spirit and through belief in the truth.

2 Corinthians 1:22  He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a de-
posit guaranteeing what is to come.

These verses tell us that salvation takes place upon the receiving of the Holy Spirit.  The seal of salva-
tion has been given to us while we are alive.  There is no reason to be held in a state of unconscious sleep
after we physically die.  We have received all that we need before our death.

Our souls go directly to heaven or hell after we physically die.

Next week, two more scriptures that confirm this point.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
