Posts Tagged ‘clouds of heaven’

Last week we read that the heavens are upward in the sky and start near the clouds, but how high do the heavens
go?

As you read the following verses, notice that heaven is plural “heavens.”

Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Jeremiah 32:17  Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and out-
stretched arm.

Hebrews 4:14  Therefore, since we have a great priest who has gone through the heavens, …

Nehemiah 9:6  You alone are the Lord.  You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry
hosts, …

Revelations 10:6  And we swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in
them, …

2 Corinthians 12:2  I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven.

Clearly, the above scriptures tell us there are several heavens or several layers to heaven.  At least three.
The highest heaven reaches to the stars.  How far into the stars we do not know.  To be sure, the heavens
are massive in size.

Next week, which layer of heaven does God live?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Welcome and thanks for reading.

Last week we read that heaven is upward in the sky.  Heaven is above the earth.  Next, where does heaven
start.

Daniel 7:13  In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was the one like the son of man, coming with the
clouds of heaven.

Mathew 24:30  …  They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

Mathew 26:64  “You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered, “But I say to all of you:  From now on you will see the
Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Mark 14:62  And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty one and coming with the
clouds of heaven.

It appears that heaven starts around the clouds.

Next week we will read how high the heavens (plural) go?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
