PROSPERITY 9

Welcome.  Let’s review Prosperity 1-8.  Based on scripture, there are 5 basic principles that lead to prosperity.

FIRST PRINCIPLE:  GIVE TO OTHERS.  God rewards you for your kindness, for helping your fellow man.  Also,
God blesses the giver because he knows the giver won’t hoard the blessings.  God can work in partnership with
the giver to meet a need or needs.

SECOND PRINCIPLE:  WORK.  God will rarely help you become prosperous without you earning it.

THIRD PRINCIPLE:  INVEST.  Little by little, investing money to earn interest and dividends brings prosperity.

FOURTH PRINCIPLE:  PURSUE GOD AND LISTEN FOR GOD.  Listening to God’s council, his knowledge and wis-
dom, helps you make good decisions regarding your finances.

FIFTH PRINCIPLE:  PURSUE GOD’S COMMANDS.  If you obey God’s commands, you will live a happier life, a
healthier life and a longer life.  As a result, you can give more, you can work more and you can invest more.

If you follow these 5 principles of prosperity you will be prosperous.  You may not be as prosperous as another
person but you will be prosperous.  Also, a person in a third world country will have a different level of prosperity
than a person in a modern country.  Prosperity to a herdsman may be having a full flock of animals.  Prosperity
to a business man may be having a good job to support his family and some money in the bank for emergency
purposes.

Also, however prosperous you become you can’t take it from this world.  Do not love money.  Whoever loves
wealth will never be satisfied.  People who want to get rich can fall into many temptations and harmful desires.
The love of money can lead you away from the faith.

Next week, we will begin reading about tongues.  Is speaking in tongues biblical?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

PROSPERITY 8

Welcome and thanks for reading.  I’d like to share a couple more scriptures concerning the dangers of loving
money.

1 Timothy 6:10  For the LOVE OF MONEY IS A ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL.  Some people, EAGER FOR MONEY,
HAVE WONDERED FROM THE FAITH and PIERCED THEMSELVES WITH MANY GRIEFS.

Hebrews 13:5  Keep your lives FREE FROM THE LOVE OF MONEY and BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, be-
cause God has said, “Never will I leave you;  never will I forsake you.”

As I mentioned in Prosperity 7, prosperity can be a good thing, but stay balanced and be satisfied where you are
in life.  You can try to improve your place in life but remain satisfied and peaceful at each step along the journey.

People who want to be rich can fall into many harmful temptations like greed, jealousy and unrighteous anger.
Wanting to be rich can even cause you to fall away from the faith and jeopardize your salvation.  No amount of
money is worth loosing your eternity in heaven.

Next week we will conclude our study on prosperity.  The following week we will begin reading about Tongues.
Is speaking in Tongues biblical?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

PROSPERITY 7

Welcome to the new readers this week.  In Prosperity 1-6 we learned 5 principles of prosperity.  Although the
principles of  1) Giving  2) Working  3) Investing  4) Listening to God and  5) Persuing Gods Commands results
in wealth and prosperity, it is IMPORTANT NOT TO OBSESS OVER MONEY OR AQUIRE A LOVE FOR MONEY.

Ecclesiastes 5:10  Whoever loves money never has money enough;  WHOEVER LOVES WEALTH IS NEVER SAT-
ISFIED WITH HIS INCOME, this too is meaningless.

Ecclesiastes 5:12  The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the ABUNDANCE OF A RICH
MAN PERMITS HIM NO SLEEP (greater wealth can bring greater anxiety).

Ecclesiastes 5:13  I have seen a grievous evil under the sun:  WEALTH HOARDED TO THE HARM OF ITS OWNER.

MATHEW 6:24 & Luke 6:13  No one can serve two masters.  …  YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY.

Mathew 19:24  Again I tell you, it is EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE THAN A RICH
MAN TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Luke 12:15  Then he said to them, “Watch out!  Be on guard against all kinds of greed; A MAN’S LIFE DOES NOT
CONSIST IN THE ABUNDANCE OF HIS POSSESSIONS.”

As Timothy 6:6 says, we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out of it.  Prosperity is a good
thing but don’t let it consume you.  Stay balanced and be satisfied where you are in life.  Most important, love
God.  Also, think and pray about how you can serve God in the journey of life.

One more week on the warnings of prosperity and then the conclusion.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

PROSPERITY 6

Welcome.  This week we will read about the fifth principle of prosperity.

FIFTH PRINCIPLE:  PURSUE GODS COMMANDMENTS.

Joshua 1:8  KEEP THIS BOOK OF THE LAWS ON YOUR LIPS;  meditate on it day and night, so that you may be
careful to do everything written in it.  THEN YOU WILL BE PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL.

Proverbs 3:12  My son, do not forget my teachings, but KEEP MY COMMANDS IN YOUR HEART for they will PRO-
LONG YOUR LIFE MANY YEARS (brings wealth to the body) AND BRING YOU PROSPERITY.

Proverbs 13:21  Misfortune pursues the sinner, but PROSPERITY IS THE REWARD OF THE RIGHTEOUS.

Proverbs 21:21  He who PURSUES RIGHTEOUSNESS AND LOVE finds life, PROSPERITY, and honor.

The above scriptures tell us that pursuing Gods commands brings wealth and prosperity, but how does this work?

If you keep Gods commandments (For example, if you don’t steal or commit adultery or don’t covet your neigh-
bors wife), you will LIVE A HAPPIER LIFE AND MORE PEACEFUL LIFE.  If you keep the seventh day as a day of
rest, you will LIVE A HAPPIER LIFE, A HEALTHIER LIFE and probably A LONGER LIFE.

Therefore, if you LIVE A HAPPIER LIFE, A HEALTHIER LIFE and A LONGER LIFE, you can meet the first three
principles of prosperity more often.  You can GIVE MORE, you can WORK MORE and you can INVEST MORE.
This results in prosperity.

Next week, wealth and prosperity is a good thing but there are some warnings that come along with it.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

PROSPERITY 5

Welcome to the new readers, I hope you find this site useful.  This week we will read about the fourth principle
of prosperity.

FOURTH PRINCIPLE:  PURSUE AND LISTEN TO GOD.

Job 36:11  IF THEY OBEY AND SERVE HIM, they will spend the rest of their days IN PROSPERITY and their years
in contentment.

Proverbs 8:17  I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.  WITH ME ARE RICHES AND HONOR,
ENDURING WEALTH AND PROSPERITY.

Proverbs 16:20  WHOEVER GIVES HEED TO INSTRUCTION PROSPERS and blessed is he who trusts the Lord.

Proverbs 22:4  Humility and the FEAR OF THE LORD BRING WEALTH AND HONOR AND LIFE.

Proverbs 28:25  A greedy man stirs up dissension, but HE WHO TRUSTS THE LORD WILL PROSPER.

These 5 scriptures tell us that pursuing God and listening for God will bring wealth and prosperity.  When a per-
son listens for God, they will receive instruction, knowledge and wisdom in all areas of their life including pros-
perity.  God can steer you towards other people and situations that can help you prosper.  God can steer you to
ways of increasing your knowledge of investing.  God can steer you to ways of learning a new and honest way
to earn an income.  God can even remind you how to act in the work place.  This will increase your chance at a
promotion or a new and better job.

Remember, God and the Holy Spirit wants an ongoing relationship with you.  Counseling you toward prosperity
is just one area of that relationship.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

PROSPERITY 4

Welcome, I hope you had a good week.  We have read that the first two principles of prosperity are “Give and it
will be given to you.” and “Work, you have to earn it.”

THIRD PRINCIPLE:  INVESTING.

Mathew 25:27  Well then, you should have put MY MONEY ON DEPOSIT WITH THE BANKERS, so that when I
returned I would have RECEIVED IT BACK WITH INTEREST.

Proverbs 13:11  Dishonest money dwindles away, but HE WHO GATHERS MONEY LITTLE BY LITTLE MAKES IT
GROW.

It’s that simple.  The third principle of prosperity is to save a little or some of your income on a consistent basis.
Allow your savings to earn interest and work for you.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

PROSPERITY 3

Welcome and thanks for reading.  We have read that the first principle of prosperity is to “give and it will be
given to you.”  Now let’s read about the second principle of prosperity.

SECOND PRINCIPLE:  WORK.  YOU HAVE TO EARN IT.

Dueteronomy 8:18  But remember the Lord your God for it is he who gives you the ABILITY to produce wealth.

Psalms 128:2  You will eat the fruit of your LABOR;  blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Proverbs 10:4  Lazy hands make a man poor, but DILIGENT HANDS brings wealth.

Proverbs 12:11 and 28:19  He who WORKS his land will have abundant food but the one who chooses fantasies
will have his fill of poverty.

God will rarely bless you financially or with enough food to eat without some effort on your part.  Wether you
physical work or you work in an office, you have to WORK FOR PROSPERITY.

Next week we will read about the third principle of prosperity.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
