Welcome, this is our final post on Point of Salvation.

CONCLUSION 2:  The Israelite believers performed animal sacrifices to demonstrate their belief in God, but it was
their faith or belief in God that allowed them to receive the Holy Spirit.  It is the receiving of the Holy Spirit that
brought salvation to the Israelites.

Jesus, a spiritual being and alive before the creation of the world, came to fulfill and put an end to the symbolic
ritual of sacrificing animals.  The sacrificing of animals was to make atonement for the death that is due sinful man.
Jesus was the final sacrifice, the final shedding of blood, the final atonement for the death that was due sinful
man.

Although Jesus is the son of God and completely righteous, omnipresent, and omnipotent, his dying on the cross
was symbolic.  It was symbolic like the Israelite animal sacrifices were symbolic.  It is ones belief in Jesus or
having faith in Jesus that allows the Holy Spirit to dwell within the believer, covering their sinful
souls with his righteousness.  Now, any true believer in Jesus can enter heaven after their earthly life.
The believer in Jesus has received salvation.

As we have read, before the time of Jesus and after the time of Jesus, receiving the Holy Spirit is the
actual POINT OF SALVATION.  The Holy Spirit has covered the souls of all believers with his right-
eousness since the creation of man.

The difference is that the Holy Spirit wasn’t released  in his fullness until after the resurrection of
Jesus.  The counseling side or communication side of the Holy Spirit wasn’t released until after the
resurrection of Jesus.  The Holy Spirit used to counsel and communicate only with the prophets and
high priests.  Now he counsels and communicates with all believers.  He is now known as
“the Counselor”and can reach all mankind.

Next week we will be reading Third World Tribes.  Can third world tribe members be saved if they never heard of
Jesus?  I promise, this study will not be nearly as long as the one we have just completed.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Welcome, let’s review our study on the Point of Salvation.

CONCLUSION:  Based on scripture, sin is wrong doing.  Sin is breaking God’s laws.  These laws were given
to mankind so they would know what is sin and avoid it.

Every man and woman who has ever lived has done wrong according to God’s law.  Every person who has ever
lived has sinned.

By Gods very nature he can’t live with sin, so by sinning we eternally separate ourselves from God.

Fortunately, God wanted to reconcile with man.  Make a way that sinful man and God can still have a
relationship and spend eternity together.  This is called salvation.

Originally, the Israelite believers sacrificed animals without defect.  The blood of the animals was taken to the
Most Holy Place and sprinkled over the arc of the covenant.  This was a ritual that symbolically made atonement for
the death that was due sinful man.  By performing this ritual it demonstrated that they believed in God.
It is ones faith or belief in God that allows the Holy Spirit to dwell within a believer, covering their
sinful souls with his righteousness.  The Israelite believer is able to enter heaven after this earthly
life.  The Israelite believer has received salvation.

Next week is the second half of our conclusion.  The following week, we will begin Third World Tribes.  Can third
world tribe members be saved if they have never heard of Jesus?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Welcome and thanks for reading.  We’re almost finished with our study on the “Point of Salvation”.

Let’s answer the following question.  If the actual point of salvation is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the
Holy Spirit wasn’t given until after the resurrection of Jesus, how were believers saved before the time of Jesus?

Here’s the explanation.  The Holy Spirit has been present even before the earth was created.  He has indwelled
believers before Jesus and after Jesus.  The Holy Spirit has covered the souls of all believers with his righteousness
since the creation of man.

Remember, 2 Thessalonians 2:13  … from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work
of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

Unfortunately, most believers in the true God, before Jesus, were from the tribe of Israel.

Here’s the difference.  The Holy Spirit wasn’t released in his fullness until after the resurrection of Jesus.  The
ministering or counseling side, the administrative or communicating side of the Holy Spirit wasn’t released until
after the resurrection of Jesus.  The Holy Spirit used to counsel and communicate only with the prophets and high
priests.  Now he counsels and communicates with all believers.  He is now known as “the Great Counselor.”

Next week, we will conclude our study on the Point of Salvation.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Continuing from last week, if the actual point of salvation is receiving the Holy Spirit, why did Jesus come to earth,
die on the cross and rise from the grave?

We have read two reasons.  Here are four more reasons.

Thirdly, Jesus was an example of how to live our lives.  To treat others better than ourselves.  To give to
others.  To care for others.  To pray for others.  Also, to pray to God and to praise God.

Fourth,  the resurrection of Jesus showed us that God has power over life and death.  As believers we
should not fear death.  Our soul and spirit live forever.  Death is not the end but only the beginning.

Fifth, Jesus came to separate himself and his Father from all false Gods- to be sure you believe in the real
God.  In the history of the world, no other person who has claimed to be God walked on water.  No other person
who claimed to be God fed thousands of people from one basket of bread.  No other person who claimed to be God
miraculously healed thousands of people.  No other person who claimed to be God rose from the grave.  Jesus was
the real deal.  He truly was above all other people and prophets.  He was without equal in human form.  He was
God the Son, part of the trinity with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Last but not least, the Holy Spirit wasn’t to be given until after Jesus had been glorified.

John 7:39  By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.  Up to that time
the Spirit had not yet been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Next week we will tackle the following question.  If the actual point of salvation is receiving the Holy Spirit and the
Holy Spirit wasn’t given until after the resurrection of Jesus, how were believers saved before the time of Jesus?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Last week we concluded that the actual Point of Salvation takes place when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit.  If
this is true, why did Jesus Christ come to earth, live his life, die on the cross and rise from the grave?  There are
many reasons.

First of all, Jesus came to fulfill the symbolic ritual of sacrificing an animal without defect.  This was
to make atonement for the death that was due sinful man.  Jesus was perfect and without defect.  He was
the final sacrifice.  Never again is an animal to be sacrificed as an atonement for the sins of mankind.

Secondly, Jesus, who is spirit, and alive before the earth was formed, came to earth to put a face on God.  He
showed man the character of God.  He showed man an example of God.  He showed man the incredible love of God.

John 14:7  “If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well.  From now on, you do know him and have
seen him.

John 14:9  “Anyone who sees me has seen the Father.”

Colossians 1:15  He is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation.

Hebrews 1 :3  The Son is the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of his being, …

Seeing a physical representation of God and knowing the character of God makes it easier to believe in God.  When
you believe in Jesus and God, you automatically receive the Holy Spirit which is the actual Point of Salvation.

Next week, we will look at 4 more reasons Jesus lived his human life, died on the cross and rose from the grave.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Continuing from last week.  From the beginning, whether a person lived before Jesus or after Jesus, salvation
comes from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3:16  Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in
you?

1 Corinthians 6:19  Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you
received from God?

2 Corinthians 1:22  He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a de-
posit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Galations 6:8  from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Ephesians 4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you are sealed for the day of
redemption.

Again, this next verse really sums it up.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  … from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of
the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

When a person has belief or faith in Christ, that person automatically receives the Holy Spirit.  Your body
becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells within you.  At this point the Holy Spirit covers
your sinful soul.  He covers your unrighteousness with his righteousness.  At this point you have re-
ceived salvation and can enter heaven.  This is not by any work that you have done to earn your salvation but
by the Holy Spirit living in you.

If the above is true and it is, this leads to another question.  Why did Jesus Christ, the Son of God, come to earth,
live his life, die on the cross and rise from the grave?  We will read the answer next week.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Before we discover the actual “Point of Salvation” let’s do a quick review.

We have read that sin is doing wrong according to God’s standard.  Everyone sins and the wages of sin is death
(physical death and a spiritual separation from a Holy God).

God set up an animal sacrifice system to take the physical death that was due sinful man.  But it was a symbolic
system.  By performing these animal sacrifices, it demonstrated a belief or faith in God.  It is actually a persons
belief or faith that brings salvation.

Jesus was the last sacrifice and the last shedding of blood for the sins of mankind.  But after Jesus sacrificed him-
self on the cross, many people still aren’t saved.  This is because the sacrifice of Jesus, like the animal sacrifice,
was symbolic.  Again, it’s not the sacrifice, in and of itself, that saves a person.  It is ones belief or faith in God
and Jesus that brings salvation.

Don’t get me wrong, Jesus is fully righteous, omnipresent, all powerful, all knowing and without a beginning or end.
Jesus is part of the Trinity with God and the Holy Spirit, but there is something else that happens when a person
believes or has faith.  Here it is.

John 3:3  In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again
(born of the Holy Spirit).

John 7:38  Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.  By
this he meant the Spirit.

This next verse really sums it up.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because
from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the SPIRIT.

From the beginning, whether you lived before Jesus or after Jesus, you were saved by the indwelling of the
Holy Spirit.  I will expand on this more next week.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
