CONCLUSION:  We have read that the average length of a persons life is seventy years or eighty years if they
have the strength.  The maximum life span will be a hundred and twenty years.

God does not have a preset number of days for people to live.  For people to live a preset number of days
they would have to never sin.  People would always get enough sleep, they would never smoke cigarettes, never
overuse drugs, never eat unhealthy, never experience stress, never do anything that would harm them physically.
People would never participate in dangerous activities or fall victim to natural disasters like tornados, hurricanes
and earthquakes.  People would never be in car crashes or airplane crashes.  Young people would never suffer from
birth defects that cause early death.

For people to live a preset number of days, Cain would never have killed Abel and murder would never have enter
this world.  For people to live a preset number of days, Adam and Eve would never have sinned and sin would
never have entered this world.

For people to live a preset number of days, they would have to live a perfect life.  We know this is im-
possible.

Many early prophets lived much longer than people today.  God kept them alive until his purpose was complete.
God only has a specific plan for a very few people in history.  Most people should find their spiritual gifts and serve
God that way.  See Mission of the left side of this page for more explanation.

Although God does not have a preset number of days to life, God can intervene and prevent harm or death when he
chooses.  God may warn a person that danger is on the way or God may heal a person.

Although God does not have a preset number of days to life, God does know when a person’s life will end.  God is
OMNISCIENT (all knowing).

Next week we will begin “Physical Healing.”

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

God has no preset number of days for each Christian to live.  Are there any exceptions?

Many early prophets lived much longer than people today.  I don’t know if they had a predetermined number of
days to live, but God kept them alive until his purpose was complete.  Remember, God only has a specific plan for a
few people in history.  Most people should find their spiritual gifts and serve God that way.  See Mission on the left
side of this page for more explanation.

Also, in the early days of the world, many people lived longer because sin was very young.  There was no genetic-
ally inherited disease, no pollution, etc.  Here are a few examples of people living longer in the early days of the
world.  Genesis 9:29  Noah lived 950 years. Genesis 11:11  Shem (one of Noah’s sons) lived 500 years.  Arphaxed lived
403 years.  Abraham lived 175 years.

Another thought, although God doesn’t have a preset number of days to life, God can intervene and prevent harm
or death when he chooses.  God may warn a person that danger is on the way or God may heal a person.  We will
read more on this when we cover healing.

A final thought, even though God doesn’t have a preset number of days to life, God does know when a person’s life
will end.  God is OMNISCIENT (all knowing).  Luke 12:7  And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.

Next week we will conclude our study on Number of Days.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Welcome to the new readers.  Let’s read the third scripture that confuses many Christians concerning a preset
number of days.

Acts 17:26  From one man he made all nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth;  and he
marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.  God did this so that
they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one
of us.

This scripture is telling us that God made all nations from the descendants of Adam.  He determined the exact
times and locations that nations will emerge and decline.  This includes nations like the Athenians, Greeks, Romans,
Barbarians, Jews, and current nations.

Here are a couple related scriptures:

Deuteronomy 32:18  When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance.  When he divided all mankind he set
up boundaries for the people according to the number of sons of Israel.

This is referring to God dividing the world and giving land to the people that sprung from the sons of Noah.  They
were divided by the people and tribes by which they descended.

Job 12:23  He makes nations great, and destroys them;  he enlarges nations, and disperses them.

The above scriptures are telling us that God made all nations of people and determined the appointed times of
these nations.  The distinct period of time and generations in which such leaders of nations should live and such
nations should exist.  How long the government rule shall last.  Many times the persecution created by these
nations will cause people to reach out to God.

The vast majority of Christians living within any nation has no predetermined number of days to live.

Next week, we will read about some possible exceptions.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Last week we concluded that sin prevents all people from living out a preset number of days.  Romans 6:23  For the
wages of sin is death, …  Romans 3:23  All have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory.

This week, let’s read 2 of 3 scriptures that confuse many Christians.

Job 14:5  Man’s days are determined;  you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits
he cannot exceed.

Here, Job is considering the shortness of man’s (mankind’s) life.  Every man of Adam’s fallen race is short lived.
God has determined the boundaries beyond which mankind cannot go.  As we have read in Number of Days 1 the
limit is a hundred and twenty years.  Job is not saying that each individual has an exact preset number of days to
live.

Psalms 139:16  Your eyes saw my unformed body;  all the days ordained for me were written in your
book before one of them came to be.

Reading more closely, this is a Psalm of David.  It is speaking about David’s life and that God has a predetermined
plan for David’s life.  This Psalm is not speaking to mankind in general.

David is most famous for killing Goliath with a sling and stone.  David became a successful army commander and
was the second King of Isreal.

As we have read in Mission 7, there are only a few people in the history of the world that God prepared a specific
plan.  David was one of them.  To determine how you can best serve God, click on Mission on the left side of this
page.

Next week we will read a third scripture that confuses Christians concerning a preset number of days.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Last week we read that the average life span of a person is seventy years or eighty years if they have the
strength.  The maximum life span is a hundred and twenty years.

This week, does God have a preset number of days for each person’s life?  I don’t think so.  I have found no scrip-
tures verifying this to be true.

Remember, we live in a fallen world, full of sin, that contributes to people dying at different ages.  For example, to
live out a preset number of days, people would always get enough sleep, people would never smoke cigarettes,
never overuse drugs, never eat unhealthy, never experience stress, never do anything that would harm them phys-
ically.  People would never participate in dangerous activities or fall victim to natural disasters like tornados,
hurricanes or earthquakes.  People would never be in car or airplane crashes.  Young people would never fall ill to
cancers like Lukemia.  They would never suffer from birth defects that cause early deaths.

For people to live a preset number of days, Cain would never have killed Abel and murder would never have entered
this world.  For people to live a preset number of days, Adam and Eve would never have sinned and sin would never
have entered this world.

For people to live a preset number of days, they would have to live a perfect life.  We know this is im-
possible.

Romans 3:23  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

God only has a preset number of days to life when we reach heaven.  That number is forever.  Life will be
eternal.

Next week, we will look at three scriptures that confuse many believers when it comes to a preset number of days
to life.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Is there a preset number of days to each person’s life?  In other words, has God predetermined an exact number of
days that each person will live?

Psalms 90:10  The length of our days is seventy years – or eighty, if we have the strength; …

This scripture tells us the average length of a person’s life is seventy years or eighty if they have the strength.  This
proves accurate as studies show that males in healthy countries live into their late seventies.  Women slightly
longer.

Genesis 6:3  Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal;  his days will be a
hundred and twenty years.

I believe God is stating that man will be limited to, a maximum of, a hundred and twenty years.  Very view people
get close to this age.

So far we have read that the average life span of a person is seventy years or eighty years if they have the strength.
The maximum life span will be a hundred and twenty years.

Next week we will go deeper into is there a preset number of days to each person’s life?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
