Let’s review our study about angels.  According to the scriptures, what are angels?

Hebrews 1:14  Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who inherit salvation?

All angels are ministering spirits.  They are spiritual beings sent to minister to the believers.

Although angels are spiritual beings, they do not have the same characteristics as the Trinity (God the Father, the
Son and the Holly Spirit).  Angels are not omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time), omnipotent (all
powerful), and omniscient (all knowing).  Nor are they eternal (no beginning and no end).

Angels were created by God.  Here are two verses that tell us angels were created by God.

Nehemiah 9:6  You alone are the Lord.  You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry
hosts (angels), the earth and all that is on it …

Colossians 1:16  For by him all things were created:  things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible …

Here are two more scriptures that express the superiority of Jesus over the angels.

Hebrews 1:4  So he (Jesus) became more superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to
theirs.

Hebrews 1:6  “Let all God’s angels worship him (Jesus).”

Here is a verse expressing that angels are more powerful than humans.

2 Peter 2:10  … Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings;  yet even angels
although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in
the presence of the Lord.

Thank you so much for studying.  God bless.
