Continuing from last week, Pharaoh tried to kill Moses.  Because of this, Moses fled and went to Midian, where he
sat down by a well.

Exodus 2:16  Now a priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came to draw water.

Some shepherds came along and drove the women away, but Moses came to their rescue.

Moses married one of the seven daughters named Zipporah.

One day Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law.  Moses saw a burning bush that did not burn up.
Moses approached.  God called to Moses from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!

Exodus 3:6  Then God said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of
Jacob.

To review Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, please read Old Testament 8 – 16.

Exodus 3:7  The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people (Israelites) in Egypt.  I have
heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.”

God sends Moses back to Egypt to free the Israelites.

Next week, God sends the plagues on Egypt.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
