Fantastic sun rays striking through clouds. Graphic effects are applied for a more dramatic image

Welcome and thanks for reading.

Last week we read that mankind built a tower to reach heaven.  Only believers that are sealed with the Holy Spirit
can enter heaven.  God put a halt to their attempts.

Genesis 11:7  Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.

Genesis 11:8  So the Lord scattered them from there over the earth, and they stopped building the city.

Genesis 11:9  That is why it was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole
world.

The Hebrew word for babel is babal which means to jumble and confuse.

At this time, the people of the world began speaking different languages.  At this early time in history, the
people of the world could no longer join together as one.  God divided them.

Of course, the known world at this early time in history is what we now consider the Middle East.

Next week, following the ancestry from Peleg to Ren to Nahor to Terah to Abram (Abraham).

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Jeff
