In Mission 1-3 we read that Gods will or calling for all people is to be holy, to receive eternal life through faith, to
live a righteous life, to have a sense of joy, to pray continually, to give thanks in all circumstances, to
live a quite life and be happy, to do good and mostly to love each other deeply.

Now let’s get more specific.  Does God have one specific task, assignment or calling unique to every Christian?

1 Peter 4:10  Each one should use whatever gift he received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s
grace in its various forms.

Hebrews 2:4  God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit dis-
tributed according to his will.

1 Corinthians 7:7  I wish that all men were as I am.  But each man has his own gift from God;  one has this
gift, another has that.

1 Corinthians 12:4  There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

These scriptures tell us that God gives each person natural gifts, distributing these gifts through the
Holy Spirit.

Next week, we will examine what are these gifts?  How to figure out which gifts you have?  In a couple weeks, we
will read how God wants each person to specifically use his/her gifts?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
