Welcome and thanks for reading. Let’s continue discovering who were the Nephilim.
In Hebrew (original Israelite language), Nephilim comes from the word naphal which means “to fall.” Therefore,
the Nephilim are considered the “fallen ones.”
Also, as we read in Genesis 6:45, they were considered the heroes of old, MEN of renown before they fell.
They were well respected men of God before they became the “fallen ones.”
To be more specific, the descendants of Cain were NOT considered Nephilim because they never called on the
name of the Lord. They were never the heroes of old, men of renown.
The descendants of Seth were considered the Nephilim because they DID call on the Lord. They were
the heroes of old, men of renown before they became the “fallen ones.”
Although the women descendants of Seth had fallen, they were not considered the Nephilim. Only the MEN of
renown were considered the Nephilim. This is because the men were considered the leader of the family.
They set the tone of faith within the family.
To sum up, the MALE descendants of Seth that used to call on the Lord were considered the Nephilim.
They were the heroes of old, MEN of faith before they became the “fallen ones.”
Thank you so much for reading. God bless.
