In Specific Mate 1 and 2, Apostle Paul made several points.  1) Marrying and staying single are good things, but
marriage will bring many troubles.  2) If you marry, your interests will be divided.  If you remain single, you can
live in undivided devotion to the Lord.  3)  Although marriage is good and being single is good, if you can control
your passions, remaining single in undivided attention to the Lord is even better.

If a person does choose to marry, who should they choose?

1 Corinthians 7:39  A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives.  But if her husband dies, she is free to
marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord.  In my judgement, she is happier if she stays as
she is- and I think that I too have the Spirit if God.

2 Corinthians 6:14  Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.  For what do righteousness and wickedness
have in common?  Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

These two scriptures tell us that if a person chooses to marry, they should marry a person who belongs
to the Lord.

Based on scripture, a man is free to marry any woman he wishes as long as she belongs to the Lord.
Also, a woman is free to marry any man she wishes as long as he belongs to the Lord.  If a man or
woman has settled the matter in their hearts and are in control of their own compulsions, it is better to stay single
in undivided devotion to the Lord.

Next week, some final observations.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
