fantastic rays

This week, let’s expand into suffering.  I think it’s worth mentioning because distress, confusion and grief (suffering)
can be a result of physical illness.

2 Corinthians 1:5  For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our com-
fort overflows.

Philippians 1:29  It has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for
him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

1 Peter 4:12  Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trials you are suffering, as though something
strange were happening to you.

1 Peter 4:16  However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that
name.  For it is time for judgement to begin with the family of God.

These scriptures tell us that suffering is normal for a Christian.

Next week, why does God allow suffering in a Christians life.  What is its purpose?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Jeff

Very interesting stuff, our sufferings make us to forget about all the positive that God has placed into our lives. So it’s good to know that although we suffer, to not worry because it’s just as normal as triumphing and experiencing good episodes through out our lives. Thanks for the reinforcement!
