Last week we read that God does rarely heal people with no faith.

This week, are there times when God will not heal a person who does have faith, great or small?

In 2 Kings 13:14  Elisha, who was a prophet, was blessed with a “double portion”, yet he suffered and died a sick
man.  He was never healed.

Job 5:17  Blessed is the man whom God corrects so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.  For he wounds,
but he also binds up, he injures but his hands also heal.

There are times when God withholds his physical healing from people of faith for the purpose of cor-
rection and discipline.  Your suffering may be caused by your own action.  God is giving you a loving
reminder to stop a certain action or sin.  To push you into a place of repentance.  Fortunately, cor-
rection and discipline is usually temporary and followed by healing.

Also, there are times when God withholds his physical healing from people of faith for the purpose of
pressing you into a deeper relationship with him.  Your suffering may be a devine invitation into a
deeper and more intimate relationship with God.

Next week, we will read about a great apostle.  How God withheld for the purpose of keeping him humble.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
