Welcome and thanks for reading.  Does God physically heal believers?  What must a believer do to receive
Gods physical healing?

Let’s start by reading a couple scriptures.

Jeremiah 30:16-17  But all who devour you will be devoured;  all your enemies will go into exile.  Those who plun-
der you will be plundered;  all who make spoil of you will despoil.  But I will restore you to health and heal
your wounds, declares the Lord, because you are called an outcast, Zion (people of Israel) for whom no one

Jeremiah 33:6  Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it;  I will heal my people and will let them enjoy
abundant peace and security.  I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as
they were before.

To clarify, Jeremiah was in ministry around 620 BC and he was speaking about the Kingdom of Israel.  Between
900 BC and 580 BC, Israel was devided into the Kingdom of Israel (northern kingdom) and the Kingdom of Judah
(southern kingdom).

From the above verses, it is important to know that many healing scriptures refer to the nation of Israel.
God, through Moses, brought the people of Israel out of captivity and restored them to the promised land.  Also,
after nearing the promised land, the people of Israel strayed from God.  The restoration or healing of Israel
often refers to their hearts no longer being calloused, their ears no longer dull and their eyes opened.

Next week we will begin reading about physical healing on an individual basis.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless
