In Salvation 13 and 14 we have established that the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, in and of itself, did not save
people.  It is a persons belief or faith in Jesus and God that brings salvation.

Here are some versus that demonstrate belief or faith in Jesus.

John 3:16  … that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 6:47  I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

John 16:16  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe is condemned.

Acts 10:43  All the prophets testify about him that whoever believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through
his name.

Acts 13:38  … through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified by the law
of Moses.

Romans 1:16  I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who
believes.

Romans 3:21  This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.

Romans 3:25  God presented him (Jesus) as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in his blood.

Romans 10:4  Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness to everyone who believes.

It is a person belief or faith in Jesus or God the Father that brings salvation.  But how does this work?
How does faith, before the time of Jesus or after Jesus, bring salvation to a person?

Next week we will read what happens to a person that believes or has faith in Jesus and God that brings salvation.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
