Welcome and thanks for reading.  Last week we read that the animal sacrifices were symbolic.  By performing
the animal sacrifice, it demonstrated a belief in God.  It is ones belief in God that actually brings salvation.
This was true even before the time of Jesus.

Here are some versus that demonstrates faith in God before the time of Jesus.

Exodus 15:2  The Lord is my strength and my song;  he became my salvation.

Psalms 35:9  Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in his salvation.

Psalms 85:9  Surely salvation in near those who fear him.

Psalms 96:2  Sing to the Lord, praise his name;  proclaim his salvation day after day.

Lamentations 3:25  The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good
to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Proverbs 16:6  Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for.

Hosea 6:6  For I desire mercy, not sacrifice and knowledge of God rather then burnt offerings.

It is a persons belief or faith in God that brings salvation.  But if this is true, why was Jesus born?
Why did he live and die on the cross?  We will begin this study next week, eventually learning the actual
Point of Salvation.

Thanks you so much for reading.  God bless.
