Welcome and thanks for reading.  Last week we read about the first room in the small tent.  It was called the
Holy Place.

This week let’s read about the second room or smaller room in the small tent.  It was called the
Most Holy Place.

The Most Holy Place was 15 feet by 15 feet and held the Arc of the Covenant.  The Arc contains the
stone tablets that God wrote the Ten Commandments.  This was done on Mt. Sanai and given to Moses.  The
Arc also contains Aaron’s Rod and the Pot of Manna.  The pot was to remind future generations of how God fed
the Israelites in the desert with manna (seed like food) from heaven.

The Arc was overlayed with gold and has two cherubim (angel) statues on top.  The cherubim statues
faced each other and God’s Spirit dwelled between them.  When Moses, Aaron or the High Priest entered
this room, they were entering the very presence of God.  This is where God spoke to them.

Also, once a year on the day of atonement, they had to bring the blood from the animal sacrifice and sprinkle it
over the arc of the covenant.  This was to make atonement for the death that was due sinful man.

Next week we will discover if the animal sacrifice really took away sin?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
