Welcome and thanks for reading.

In “Point of Salvation 2-3” we read that all have sinned and sin leads to death (eternal separation from God).  If
this is true, why did God bother to create man?

The answer lies in Mathew 22:37 when Jesus responded to the Pharisees (religious leaders of the day).  They ask-
ed him “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment?”  Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”  This is why we were created.

Man was created to love God.  God wanted relationship.  But for man to love God, they had to be given
free will or choice.  True love can only be obtained when a person has the choice to love or not to love.  If a
person had no choice it would be a forced alliance, not love.

Unfortunately, with freewill or choice, man chooses to sin or do things that are wrong according to Gods very
nature.  Things that separate man from God.

But because God still loves us despite our sin, he created a way that sinful man can be made pure and still have
a relationship with him.  A way that man can spend eternity with God.

Next week, we will read how God forgave sin before the time of Jesus.

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
