Point of Salvation 2

Last week we read that sin is doing wrong according to God’s standard.  Also, sin is lawlessness.  God gave man
the Ten Commandments so we would know his standard.  So we would know when we were breaking his law.

Besides the Ten Commandments, there are other laws not mentioned on the tablets.  For example, it is also sin
to lie and to lust.

Now, has anyone ever reached God’s standard?  Has anyone ever lived a perfect life without breaking God’s law?
Has anyone ever lived without sinning?

1 Kings 8:46  for there is no one who does not sin-

Romans 3:23  There is no difference, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

1 John 1:8  If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

The bible tells us that every man or woman that has ever lived has fallen short of God’s standard.  Everyone has
broken at least one of God’s laws.  Therefore, everyone that has ever lived has sinned.

Next week we will read about the consequences to our sin?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.
