Last week we read that the human soul and spirit is an energy or essence that is embedded within the brain.
Upon death the soul separates from the brain.  This week let’s begin reading about the difference between a
person’s soul and a person’s spirit.

Psalms 6:3  MY SOUL IS IN ANGUISH.  How long, O Lord, how long?

Psalms 42:11  Why are you DOWNCAST, O MY SOUL?  WHY SO DISTURBED WITHIN ME?

Psalms 34:2  I will extol the Lord at all times;  his praise will always be on my lips.  MY SOUL WILL BOAST IN
THE LORD.

Psalms 42:1  As the deer pants for streams of water, SO MY SOUL PANTS FOR YOU, O GOD.  MY SOUL THIRSTS
FOR GOD, for the living God.

Psalms 62:5  Find rest, O my soul, in God alone, MY HOPE COMES FROM HIM.

Psalms 94:19  When ANXIETY WAS GREAT WITHIN ME, YOUR CONSOLATION BROUGHT JOY TO MY SOUL.

Psalms 103:1  Praise the Lord, O my soul;  ALL MY INMOST BEING, PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

Isaiah 55:2  Listen, listen to me, eat what is good, and YOUR SOUL WILL DELIGHT IN THE RICHEST OF FARE.

These scriptures tell us that THE SOUL IS THE EMOTIONAL PART OF A PERSON.  THE INMOST BEING OF A PER-
SON THAT FEELS DISTRESS, HOPE, ANXIETY, ANGUISH, JOY, GRIEF, SORROW AND PRAISE.  THE INMOST PART
OF A PERSON THAT MAKES UP THEIR PERSONALITY, THEIR LIKES AND DISLIKES, THEIR FEARS.  IT’S WHAT
MAKES A PERSON DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS.

These scriptures also tell us that GOD IS THE ULTIMATE SOURCE TO COMFORT A PERSON’S EMOTIONS AND SOUL.

Next week, can a person’s body effect their emotions or soul?

Thank you so much for reading.  God bless.

Jeff
