PROSPERITY 7
Welcome to the new readers this week. In Prosperity 1-6 we learned 5 principles of prosperity. Although the
principles of 1) Giving 2) Working 3) Investing 4) Listening to God and 5) Persuing Gods Commands results
in wealth and prosperity, it is IMPORTANT NOT TO OBSESS OVER MONEY OR AQUIRE A LOVE FOR MONEY.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money never has money enough; WHOEVER LOVES WEALTH IS NEVER SAT-
ISFIED WITH HIS INCOME, this too is meaningless.
Ecclesiastes 5:12 The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the ABUNDANCE OF A RICH
MAN PERMITS HIM NO SLEEP (greater wealth can bring greater anxiety).
Ecclesiastes 5:13 I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: WEALTH HOARDED TO THE HARM OF ITS OWNER.
MATHEW 6:24 & Luke 6:13 No one can serve two masters. … YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY.
Mathew 19:24 Again I tell you, it is EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE THAN A RICH
MAN TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on guard against all kinds of greed; A MAN’S LIFE DOES NOT
CONSIST IN THE ABUNDANCE OF HIS POSSESSIONS.”
As Timothy 6:6 says, we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out of it. Prosperity is a good
thing but don’t let it consume you. Stay balanced and be satisfied where you are in life. Most important, love
God. Also, think and pray about how you can serve God in the journey of life.
One more week on the warnings of prosperity and then the conclusion.
Thank you so much for reading. God bless.
